Flight photos
| Platform | Status | Where |
|---|---|---|
| iOS | done | vulture-ios/Modules/App/Sources/Map/Extensionsvulture-ios/Packages/FlightScreens/Sources/FlightScreens/AssetPagerRead from the photo library by time; Live Photos supported. |
| Android | not-planned | Removed (2026-10-20): Google Play does not allow the automatic photo lookup iOS does. See analysis 2026-10-android-remove-photos. |
Behaviour
Section titled “Behaviour”- Photos taken during the flight appear on the map at the place they were taken.
- Tapping one opens a pager with an altitude badge.
- The photos can also be uploaded to WeGlide as a story (WeGlide).
Platform differences
Section titled “Platform differences”- iOS only. Android had the pilot pick the photos with the system photo picker (decisions §9 D6) until unreleased; it no longer has flight photos, because Google Play only lets an app search the photo library when that is its core function, so the automatic lookup iOS does is not allowed (Remove flight photos from Android). The photos picked before are forgotten; they stay in the gallery.
- The synced “Show your photos” setting is kept on Android without a row, so a value set on an iPhone round-trips.
